Can I specify my donation to be applied for food only?

You may and we do honor these requests.  Please also note, that if we do not have a facility to disperse the food, we will need to close our doors.

How much does it cost the pantry to feed a family? 

We can feed a family

on $45.00 per month.  Beyond Blessed Pantry has been averaging over 3,000 households per month.

Do you purchase food and/or have a paid staff?

Yes, we receive discounted and wholesale food pricing from Second Harvest.  We also purchase food from local grocers and area wholesale organizations.

We do pay our executive director (Shannon Howley), who puts in uncountable hours per month.  We have over 100 hard-working volunteers who are not paid.

What does that 45 dollars include? 

Operating cost (including rent, transportation, utilities, office supplies, and such) as well as food (including when available fresh produce, meat such as chicken, beef, and pork, dry goods, and dairy.)

Why do I need to register?

This information assists with funding and gives us contact information as needed.  The registration consists of providing our team with your zip code and numbers in your household at the time of pickup.

Where does Beyond Blessed Pantry get their inventory?

Second Harvest, local grocers and area wholesale organizations.  Please remember we are NOT federally funded. Our pantry is solely run on private donations.

What is a household?

A household is a dwelling with a kitchen.  All who share that kitchen are considered one household.
