The Beyond Blessed Pantry Response to COVID-19
Updated March 25, 2020
The Pantry has been providing free food to people in need. It is our goal to continue to do so while observing some additional practices and responses due to the possibility of COVID-19.
Additional strategies employed to keep the pantry as sanitized as possible includes frequent disinfecting and sanitizing. Gloves are available and being worn by volunteers. Hand sanitizers are available upon entry into the Pantry.
Additional information about COVID-19 and health recommendations can be found on the Center for Disease Control website: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/about/index.html
To our patrons:
As of APRIL 1, 2020, we CHANGED OUR HOURS. ALL PANTRIES WILL BE HELD FROM 4:30 PM UNTIL 6:30 PM ON WEDNESDAY.
At this time we will not utilize the waiting room until further notice.
You will receive groceries (no exchanges or substitutions) delivered to your car.
CARPOOLING IS OK. WE WILL DELIVER BASED ON HOUSEHOLDS IN THE CAR.
To our volunteers:
PLEASE DO NOT VOLUNTEER IN THE PANTRY IF YOU ARE ILL OR ARE LIVING WITH SOMEONE WHO IS.
If you exhibit symptoms of illness (coughing, sneezing, fever), become ill, have had large-scale social contact at an event or have been traveling. Please do not return until you've recovered and your time away has reached the medically-advised window. Volunteers age 60 and older and those with chronic health conditions should avoid interpersonal contact with the public. Volunteers who care for vulnerable dependents at home should consider a break from pantry service at this time.
