The Core of the Panty

Our Volunteers

The volunteers are very valuable to us and we need to be sure to take care of you.
What we do serves approximately 250 household so yep it's a lot of work but it can be fun too.
We have a lot of jobs.  We have grocer pickups, truck unloading, prep for Wednesday events, working Wednesday event and clean up.
Here is the link to the application and can be completed on-line.  Here is the link to our waiver.

With the COVID 19 issues, here are some guidelines.
  • We request that we wear gloves when working with the food.
  • Masks are required during Governor's Emergency Order 1.
We have fabric masks at the pantry if you don't have one but would like one.

When it is warm, taking breaks and drinking water are a must.
One of the hardest, but very rewarding jobs is unloading trucks.  Here are some general details.
Unloading trucks
  • pallets that we need to unload we carry these items into the building or into the cooler and stack items securely.
  • Second Harvest truck - prepare for Wednesday evenings event.
When there is mention of unloading this usually requires lifting from 6-60 pounds repeatedly.
